Our new Executive Committee
Members of the New York Opera Alliance elected a new executive committee to lead our organization forward. The new committe is Ben Spierman - President, Deborah Surdi - Treasurer, Monica Camafreita - Secretary, and Dr. Jeff Dailey - Education.
“WONDERFUL EVENT”
Participants of the New York Opera Alliance attended our first live meeting since the start of the pandemic held at Opera America on Tuesday December 10. Participants became acquainted or reacquainted with other participants they only knew from our zoom meetings. Among the participants were members of the executive committee and Joao McDowell (The Brazilian Opera Co.), Francine Garber-Cohen (Regina Opera), Alan Smulen (Amore Opera), Marianna Mott-Neuwirth (Opera Pratikos and past President of NYOA), Grethe Barrett Holby (Ardea Arts), Vincent Rutter-Covatto (Opera America) and Gordon Ostrowski (Douglas Moore Fund).
